DSHA welcomes new Director of Housing Finance

May 19, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Delaware State Housing Authority Director (DSHA) Anas Ben Addi today announced that Cynthia Karnai has been promoted to Director of Housing Finance, an essential component of the senior management team of Delaware State Housing Authority. She joined DSHA as the Assistant Housing Finance Administrator in 2005. Ben Addi stated, “DSHA is fortunate to have such a qualified individual join the staff. Her advanced education and housing experience will prove to be invaluable in achieving our goals.”

Cynthia will provide oversight of the financial services programs of DSHA, including the Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bond Program, the Multi-Family Mortgage Revenue Bond Program, Second Mortgage Assistance Loans, Live Near Your Work Program, and the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program.

Cynthia has dedicated her professional career to the affordable housing arena the past 12 years, overseeing operations of the DSHA homeownership products for the past 4 years. Cynthia was the recipient of the President’s Award at the 2005 Gala Auction to Benefit Housing Counseling for her dedication and contributions to homeownership services.

Cynthia holds her M.A. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Delaware. She received her Masters of Business Administration concentrating in Financial Management from Goldey-Beacom College.
